Full-Time Staffing Director of Pharmacy
Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital / Weston, WV
 

Description: You will oversee all pharmacy operations at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital, including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs. Nine staff members will report to you, including three pharmacists and six technicians.
As a CPS-employed director, you will have a full support team available to you—from a Regional VP, Regional Clinical Director, and 340B Specialist to a Regulatory Specialist, Drug Information Specialist, and more.

This position entails 60% staffing duties and 40% administrative duties, including on call shared with 2 other full time Pharmacists.

Qualifications:
- Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD)
- Current WV license in good standing
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience required
- Previous hospital pharmacy management experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
- Ability to work cooperatively and establish good relationships with other members of CPS, hospital and pharmacy staff

Facility: Licensed for 70 beds and accredited by The Joint Commission, Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital provides general medical and surgical care for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients. The hospital is located in a small community in foothills of West Virginia, but major cities, including Morgantown, Charleston, and Pittsburg, are nearby. The centralized pharmacy operates with CPSI order entry and Pyxis, and it is looking into CPOE. Pharmacy hours are Monday through Friday from 7am to 7pm, and Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 8am to 4pm. Management of the pharmacy is outsourced to CPS.
